Antología ha creado una colección especial inspirada en los colores del amor.

Hoy mis papás cumplen treinta años de matrimonio, y quiero felicitarlos en este espacio también.
Quiero decirles que son para mí un gran ejemplo de amor, agradecerles por todos los esfuerzos que han realizado en este largo recorrido y por la familia tan hermosa que han formado. Deseo que Dios los siga bendiciendo como pareja para que les permita muchos años más de crecimiento y unión.

Today my parents are celebrating 30 years of marriage, and I want to use this space to say a few words. I want to tell you that you are to me a great example of true love, to thank you for all the effort you have made trough the years and for the beautiful family you have made. I wish God keeps blessing you as a couple and allow you to live many more years in union. 

I love you very much.

Princess Leia

Cristian, Alex y yo  en nuestra versión del poster del episodio IV.

El fin de semana hicimos un semi-maratón de Star Wars, y creo que nos emocionamos porque hasta nos caracterizamos un poco, hice mi versión del peinado de la princesa Leia, fue muy gracioso porque en realidad se sentían como audifonos y mantenían mis orejas calientitas.
Aunque ya había visto las películas hace tiempo cuando era pequeña, ya no recordaba los detalles, así que disfruté verlas como si fuera la primera vez y en verdad me gustaron más; solo vimos las tres originales, por lo que aún nos queda pendiente la segunda parte del maratón.

This weekend we had a small Star Wars marathon, and I think we got excited because we even characterized ourselves a little bit, I made my own version of Princess Leia hairstyle and it was very funny because it really felt like headphones and kept my ears warm.
Even though I've already seen the movies when I was a kid, I already forgot the details, so I enjoyed watching them as it was the first time and I really liked them more; we only saw the three originals so we still have to finish the second part of the marathon.

Stop for a second

Ayer en la tarde cuando regresaba a mi casa me detuve a mirar el cielo, realmente estaba hermoso, nubes como borreguitos, contraste de luz y sombra.
Muchas veces estamos en la rutina diaria que no nos damos cuenta de tantas cosas bellas que pasan a nuestro al rededor, puede ser en cuestión de minutos y luego desaparecen.
Por favor detente aun que sea por un segundo y disfruta de la vida.

Yesterday in the afternoon when I was coming home I stopped and looked at the sky, it really was beautiful with couds as little lambs, lights and shadows.

Many times we are in our routinary life that we don't notice how many pretty things happen all around us, it might be in a matter of minutes and then they vanish.

Please stop for a second and enjoy life.

Żywiec

These boots are made for walking, supongo que ya han escuchado esta canción, mis botas grises me hacen pensar en ella; como ya lo he dicho antes, me encantan los detalles y  el zipper rojo les da un perfecto contraste de color.
Żywiec es una ciudad en Polonia, mi bolsa es de una cerveza que hacen ahí. Hace ya varios años tuve la oportunidad de viajar a Polonia junto a mi grupo de danza folklórica, ese viaje fue muy especial para mí por muchos motivos y esta bolsa es un bonito recordatorio de las experiencias vividas, además me encanta la composición de los elementos, los dibujos folklóricos y la combinación de colores.

These boots are made for walking, I guess you have already heard this song, my grey boots make me think about it; as I said before, I love details and the red zipper gives them the perfect pop of color.

Żywiec is a city in Poland, my bag is from a beer they make there. Several years ago I had the opportunity to travel to Poland with my dance group, that was a very special trip for many reasons and this bag reminds me of the beautiful experiences I lived there, besides I love the illustrations, the colors and composition.

Flores creciendo

new music

La música es muy importante para inspiración, la música nos ayuda a despertar nuestros sentidos, a ponernos en el ánimo adecuado: activos, relajados, románticos, alegres...creativos.
Me gusta estar en constante búsqueda y descubrir nuevos artistas/grupos; me pasa todo el tiempo que cuando descubro una canción que me encanta se convierte en mi canción del "momento"  y la escucho una y otra vez...otra vez...otra vez...y otra vez... hasta que descubro mi nueva canción del "momento".
Me encuentro en una pequeña crisis musical, creo que debo encontrar nueva música para trabajar. ¿Tienen alguna sugerencia?

Music is very important for inspiration, music awakes our senses, it puts us in the right mood: hyper, relaxed, romantic, happy...creative.

I like being in a constant search and discover new artist/groups; it happens to me all the time when I discover a song I love, it automatically becomes my song of the 'moment' and I listen to it over and over again....again...again...and again...until I discover my new perfect song. 

I find myself in a little musical crisis, I think I need to find new music for my working time. Any suggestions?

holiday memories

 

 

La época navideña siempre me trae bonitos recuerdos, nos da la oportunidad de convivir más con nuestros seres queridos; especialmente la Navidad para mí es un momento muy familiar, me encanta que siempre nos reunimos todos en casa de mis abuelitos (tíos, primos, hermanos...todos! y somos una familia muy grande), cenamos juntos, hacemos intercambio, cada familia lleva sus regalos y la sala termina con una montaña de regalos que al final se convierte en una montaña de papeles y cajas vacías. Me ENCANTA mi familia y estoy muy agradecida con Dios por una Navidad más en unión, armonía y salud.

Para seguir celebrando, fuimos a Disney; si por naturaleza este lugar es mágico...verdaderamente es hermoso con las decoraciones navideñas, el castillo iluminado, el desfile, y especialmente el juego de "Small World" me dejó impactada con la cantidad de focos que tiene.

Después de Navidad decidí tomarme unos días de descanso, me desconecté totalmente del trabajo, disfruté de la tranquilidad del hogar, tardes de películas, días horneando galletas, un merecido descanso que me permitió despejar la mente y recuperar energías para este año.

Finalmente nos despedimos del 2011 y recibimos con felicidad el año 2012.
Y hoy es día de los Reyes Magos, lo que significa que hoy cerramos oficialmente las festividades navideñas, coman mucha rosca y nos vemos el lunes :)


p.d. Sigo en limpieza de mi estudio, espero poder terminar este fin de semana y poco a poco mostrarles los resultados.

I always have good memories of the holidays, they give us the opportunity to enjoy time with the people we love; specially for me Christmas is family time, i love that we all gather in my grandparents house (uncles, aunts, cousins, brothers...everyone! and we are a big family), we have dinner together, we exchange gifts, every family brings its presents and the living room ends up with a pile of presents that in the end becomes a pile of wrapping paper and empty boxes. I LOVE my family and I am very thankful with God for another Christmas with harmony, health and family union.

To continue celebrating, we went to Disneyland; this place is magic by nature...but it really is beautiful in Christmas time, the lighted castle, the parade, and I was specially amazed by the lights of the Small World.

After Christmas I decided to take some time of, I totally disconnected from work, enjoyed the peace of home, movie time, baked some cookies, a deserved break that allowed me to clear my mind and recover energies for this year. 

We finally said goodbye to 2011 and received happily the 2012.

Today is 'Día de Reyes Magos' which means we officially close the holiday season, be sure to eat a lot of Rosca de Reyes, see you on Monday :)

p.s. I'm still cleaning my studio, I hope to finish this weekend and show the results soon.

Estas damitas nos demuestran que el estilo se lleva desde pequeña; flores gigantes, mezclas de colores, collares originales, trenzas, medias brillantes, olanes, botitas...todo en perfecta combinación, tal vez simplemente se ven perfectas por ser tan pequeñas y el factor 'cute' es indiscutible.
Debo aceptar que me derrito cuando veo fotos de niñas como ellas, solo puedo imaginar cuando llegue a tener mi propia hija y realmente me emociona.

These little ladies show us that style comes from a very young age; oversized flowers, color mixes, original necklaces, braids, bright tights, ruffles, boots...everything in perfect combination, or maybe they look so perfect because of their small size and the cute factor is undeniable. 

I must accept that my heart melts when I see this kind of pictures, I can only imagine when I have my own daughter and that makes me really excited.

Pilcro and the Letterpress

Pilcro and the Letterpress, ese es el nombre de mis zapatos; son los flats más hermosos y cómodos que he tenido, me encantan sus colores brillantes y el pequeño detalle con un moñito de metal, además vienen en una caja hermosa que ni siquiera parece de zapatos. (Pilcro es una marca de Anthropologie, ahí puedes encontrar pilcro flats similares).
Este fue un outfit para un día cómodo y relajado, nunca había combinado verde con anaranjado y realmente me encantó, aunque legalmente no sean colores complementarios creo que hacen bonita pareja.

Pilcro and the Letterpress, that is the name of my shoes; these are the most beautiful and comfortable shoes I've ever had, I love its bright colors and the small brass bow detail, besides they come in a beautiful box than doesn't even look like a shoe box! (Pilcro is an Anthropologie brand, you can find similar pilcro flats there). This outfit was for a comfortable and relaxed day, I've never matched green and orange and I really loved it, even though legally they aren't complementary colors I think they make a pretty couple.

Para empezar el año bien es necesaria una limpieza profunda del espacio de trabajo. Ordenar materiales y reacomodar los muebles son parte de los cambios, sin embargo me emociona aún más terminar de decorar mi estudio, realmente no me había dado el tiempo de planearlo a detalle pero esta vez ya tengo muchas ideas para hacerlo aún más bello.
Los pequeños detalles son los que hacen la diferencia, desde un frasco para almacenar hilos hasta la manera en que se ordenan las telas por colores; por el momento sé que una de las cosas más importantes será una 'inspiration wall' donde podré acumular cualquier cosa que me inspire: recortes, una etiqueta, una flor, un pedazo de una tela nueva, fotos de mis personas favoritas...inspiración y motivación diaria :)

Cuando terminé la decoración haré un recorrido fotográfico para ustedes.
Bonito día

For a good start of the year we must clean our spaces, specially the working space. Organize materials and rearranging furniture are part of the changes, but the part I'm most excited is the decoration of my studio, I haven't really had time to plan it before but now I'm full with ideas to make it even more beautiful.

Little details make the difference, from a jar to display threads to the way or storing fabric by color; for now I know that one of the most important parts is the inspiration wall where I can display and collect anything that inspires me: magazine pieces, labels, a flower, a new fabric, pictures of my favorite people... daily inspiration and motivation :)

As soon as I finish I will make a photo tour for you.

El sol llegó con el nuevo año, el frío parece haber quedado atrás (al menos por unos días).

Encontré estos solecitos que hicieron mi día más feliz, me encantan sus expresiones y verlos hace que ya quiera empezar a hacer mis propias ilustraciones. 

Ilustrar más, bocetar, experimentar con nuevos materiales y tipos de trazo es uno de mis propósitos de este año, por lo que algo de inspiración me motiva a iniciar; poco a poco he descubierto ilustradores que me encantan y voy coleccionando sus obras en mi Pinterest.

The sun arrived with the new year, the cold weather seems to be in the past (at least for a few days).

I found these pretty little suns that made my day happier, i just love their expressions and seeing them makes me want to start my own illustrations. 

Illustrate more, sketch, experiment with new materials and styles is one of my goals of this year, so this inspiration motivates me to begin; i've discovered illustrators that i love and I have been collecting their work in my Pinterest board.

Fresh start

Hoy empezamos un nuevo año, es momento de reflexionar sobre el año que terminó, los propósitos cumplidos, las experiencias vividas y las personas que dejaron huella en nosotros.
2011 fue un buen año: con logros personales y profesionales (por ejemplo mi graduación de universidad y Antología cumplió un año)
Tenemos la oportunidad de empezar de nuevo, comencemos el 2012 con una actitud positiva, que los propósitos que nos hemos fijado perduren todo el año con nuestra perseverancia. Espero que hayan pasado una Feliz Navidad y que el nuevo año los llene de bendiciones. Gracias por el apoyo que he recibido en Antología, por apreciar mi trabajo, por las clientas leales  y por las nuevas clientas. Este año Antología seguirá creciendo, mejorando cada día, transmitiendo amor y alegría a través de sus creaciones.

Today we start a new year, it is time to think about the year that just finished and the goals achieved, the adventures and the people that marked our lives. 2011 was a good year: successful personally and professionally (with my college graduation and the first anniversary of Antología). 

This is a fresh start, lets begin this year 2012 with a positive attitude, that the goals we have determined last all year with our perseverance. I hope  you all had a Merry Christmas and this New Year fill you with blessings.
